So as Kaya was learning one of life's harsh lessons regarding when it is ok to invite friends to things and when you need to just go as a family.
Well...as we were discussing why i said no and what she could have done differently she began to cry.
So, I asked her what was wrong and I got a response that I was not expecting!
She said " I wish life was like math!" "Because then you could just erase what you did and start over"
WOW! She is already on to what adults think a lot of the time!

Sierra's photo shoot! (Thanks to Reb)
We recieved this cute bathing suit set from our good friend Rebecca for Sierra...well she did not do much swiming this year so i decided to have a photo shoot! Shanna, Kaya, and I all worked hard to keep the model happy. We simulated water with the blue blanket :).
It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Sierra seemed to enjoy the attention since she is showing Princess qualities.
The little flip flops would not stay on at all. But once Bella woke up she put them on and almost instantly broke them. That is her gift (breaking things).
Sierra is working on the art of fitting her WHOLE fist in her mouth!!! She appears to be close to her goal.

Sierra's dedication
This is at our church at BCA last Sunday. We were dedicating Sierra! It went great, except we were not supposed to be on the stage so that the families can join them during the prayer. But the 1st family accidently forgot and went up on stage...oops!
Praying for Sierra!!!

These pics are from a work BBQ that JAMCO had for its employees and families ay Lord Hill Farm. It was an amazingly beautiful day in the upper 70's!!! Finally summer in the NorthWest.
Sierra is a big 3 months now. She is starting to really interact now. She is always smiling (except when Bella enters the room) she is so noisy! :)
Bella is sooo independent and her favorite word is WHY??? and she wines it!!! If i have not bragged about her to you in the last few months..here it goes. She knows her ABC's by sight and song, she can count up into the 40's by herself almost with no mistakes, and she has almost mastered shapes! But the funny thing is that all colors are green, so we are working on that!
As I am writing this she is all dressed up in Kaya's clothes, shoes, hat, purse, and sun glasses just walking around. She is a funny nut :).
My Kaya is such a big helper with the younger girls. She had a lot of fun at the BBQ. She loves hanging out with anyone other than mmom and dad at this stage of life...so the only logical thing for us as parents to do about that is to FORCE HER!!! She is working on making a mommy's helper business...I will up date on that as she gets it going!

1st day of school...
Here are all the kids!
Kaya the 4th grader
The goodies
The little kiddo table
OK so i am a week behind in posting this, but welcome to my life. I thought it would be fun for the neighbors and i to have breakfast out side on the first day of school for the kids that are at our bus stop. I have always heard of mommy's that are so on top of things and are able to do wonderful things like this so their kids have great memories (and perhaps traditions).
But I am here to tell you that you don't have to be super mom to pull it off. Look at me with a 3 month old and a 2 year old. I was able to give Kaya the kick off to 4th grade that she deserves!
All the kids had a great time! The mom's even enjoyed this time and everyone contributed food and chairs! So there really wasn't to much for one mom to do...but now in the eyes of all of the neighborhood children we are super moms!
Here is Kaya on her 1st day of 4th grade. She is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady. She is learning a lot about life and responsibility this year. We had the "body" talk this summer thanks to a wonderful christian book called The Lily Series #2: The Body Book by Nancy Rue.

Wonderful advice about being clutter free!!!
How to Beat Clutter in less than 5 Minutes
1. Make your bed each morning.
2. Throw away the newspaper each night, even if you haven’t read it yet.
3. Follow the "one-minute rule" – push yourself to do any chore that takes less than one minute. Throw away the junk mail, close the cabinet door, put your dirty socks in the hamper, hang up your wet towel.
4. Identify an organization or person to whom you can give things you no longer need – it’s much easier to get rid of unneeded stuff if you can envision someone else getting good use from them.
5. Pause for a moment before you "store" something. Storing something means you don’t intend to use it much. Other than holiday decorations and seasonal clothes, you should strive to "store" as little as possible.
6. Beware of freebies. Never accept anything free, unless you’re thrilled with it. A mug, a tote bag, a hand-me-down toy, the lamp from your mother-in-law—if you don’t need it, don’t take it.
7. Get rid of things if they break.
8. Don’t keep any piece of paper unless you know that you actually need it. I have a friend who, for years, carefully filed away the stubs when she paid her gas bill. "Why?" I asked, mystified. "I have no idea," she said. Along the same lines, don’t keep anything that would quickly become dated—like travel information.
9. Remember the internet! If you can easily find information online, you don’t need to keep a hard copy.
10. Hang up your coat. Before you go to bed, take five minutes to do an "evening tidy-up." Don’t tackle anything ambitious, but just stack up the magazines, put your shoes away, shove the chairs into place, etc. Just a few minutes of tidying can make your house look a lot better, and it’s a calming thing to do before going to sleep. Plus it makes the morning nicer.
