Blast from the Past....

KAYA!

This is cutie girl Kaya when she was a toddler! This is one of my favorite pictures of her!
Now she is growing up to be a beautiful young lady!

Bella's new weapon!

Here is princess Bella's new weapon...I mean cast. She chose the color by herself. She was so brave, she didnt fuss at all.Everyone at the Dr.'s was telling her what a cutie she is and how brave she was being! She didn't care...she just wanted to get back to Shanna's house since all the other kids were off school and playing with out her!
She has NOT slowed down at all since getting the cast...and it is heavy so she tips easily :).

The Dr. has us coming back in 3 weeks and hopes she will be all healed by then!

Our cute Valentines

I just love Valentines day! Mostly because I am girls and I love hearts and red! So it is a fun time for me to decorate with the color I love to look at!The girls each had a new shirt to wear for the day!
We made heart shaped muffins and they were a HIT! Bella is a snacker sometimes so she liked them a lot!


I just love the picture of all 3 of the girls they look so sweet and cute (i know better).

Bella's arm

On the 13th Bella got into a "fight" with our pantry door and a toy...well she lost! The door was starting to come off the track and for some reason she decided to go try to close it (8:30pm) well it came off! But the door didn't get her, the toy in her hand when she fell did. she fractured the 1st metacarpal on her left hand. Translation:the bone in the fatty part on your palm below the thumb.
As you can see she doesn't seem phased on bit by the splint! We will go next week and have it looked at again after the swelling resides. This is when she will get a cast!
I was just telling Mimi (Grandma James) that Bella is going to be the child that is hurt the most and giving me the headaches...I need to keep my BIG mouth shut!

Valentine's Day

Dip tops of each cupcake in chocolate glaze, letting excess drip off. Let stand until set, about 30 minutes. Fit a pastry bag with the smallest plain round tip. Fill bag with melted white chocolate, and use to write on cupcakes. Decorated cupcakes will keep, covered, for up to 2 days.

Happy Valentines Day!

Potty Training (still going)

This time around with Bella is going better! She has only had 1 accident in the past few days. We also tested her skills the other day by going to the store for a quick trip and she did great! She got a pink mylar balloon for being such a big girl! The other day i came into the front room and she had moved the potty there and was teaching the bear how to use the potty! I RAN to get the camera...this was to cute to pass up! I did miss her putting the book on the bear telling him to read!!! This is something we have tried for her :).

Needless to say the bear did not go potty...but Bella is doing great!

FUN with Hairspray

Kaya's hair looked great for the dance! We had a lot of fun making it look pretty! We used a wave iron and it turned out really cute! She looks so grown up! We decided that the little girls needed hair spray also! Let's just say their hair was not as cute....
I gave Bella some 80's style bangs! She looked so funny, but she loved that she was just like Kaya!

Girls are so much fun!

Father Daughter Valentines Dance

As a yearly tradition Romeo takes Kaya to the Father/Daughter dance! This is their 3rd year. They go to the dance then go to dinner with no mommy or sisters! They always have a great time. Kaya said to me that she loves goint to the dance with daddy because he has all the good moves! I was shocked because the Romeo that i married does not dance! She i asked her what does she mean, and she replied that he can slide her on the ground under his legs and also spin her around really fast! NO wonder we dont dance :).
Kaya and I worked hard on her hair! It turned out so cute!


Bella was not happy that she was not included in the pictures so we had to let her in one! She cried as daddy and Kaya left her at home...it was really sad! She may get to go next year!

Keeping busy at the Ortho.....

What is there to do at the ortho doctor while your big sister is getting her braces off? Well you can get into a big chair and YELL to spin!Sierra is much easier to keep happy! MILK!!!!!!!
There is a play room with LOTS OF TOYS and I really appreciate it! Bella loves the Lego's and the stickers!

I will leave you with a picture of the Ortho "scary bear" as Bella calls him. I kinda agree! I hope he brushes!!!!

Shhhh Daddy

This picture was taken with my camera phone.....sorry it looks yucky! But there is a funny story!

I was up a little later than the family having a little "mommy on the computer with no one climbing on me time" when i heard a loud noise coming from my room. So i shut down the computer and proceded to bed. As i climbed the stairs the noise was getting louder and louder. WOW...daddy must be tired! He was snoring so loud and evidently Sierra didn't like it! This is how i found her sleeping when i looked at her! I was laughing way harder than i should have been in the middle of the night!

Bye Bye Braces.....Hello Teeth

This week Kaya got her braces off and got a retainer. She did such a good job wearing her headgear that she didn't even have them on for a whole year! The time span was estimated at 18 months...she wore them for 11 months!

Our wonderful friend Shelly did a great job taking them off! Kaya only got mad a few times when they didn't just pop off!

Kaya looking in the mirror at her new smile! She wore them so she could have her bite adjusted and then straighten up the teeth that shifted due to that! Now she has a propper bite and straight teeth!

Kaya's birthday!

Leave it to Bella to need a candle with her cupcake...even if it is not her birthday! She was so cute and she even convinced the girls at Kaya's party to sing "Happy not your birthday to you" it was so funny! She has been begging to have a candle on a cake since our friend Gracie turned 3 and had candles. Here is Kaya and her silly friends! Everyone had a great time and they made their own pizza's and decorated cupcakes! YUMMY!
Kaya was thinking really hard about her wish! It was cute to see her mind working! I hope her wish comes true!

In this picture she is showing a letter and the necklace that Romeo and I gave her. We decided that 10 is a milestone in a young ladies life and we wanted to make it extra special. We wrote the letter so that she can look back and remember that she is more precious to us and God than diamonds! This is a tradition that we plan to keep up with for the other girls. We are also planning on making 13, 15, and 16 extra special. We want our girls to know how amazing they are and that they deserve only the best from people. (This doesn't mean money or items). It means that as they grow and mature they need to respect themselves in order to be treated with respect!
