Make it Monday (kinda)

This is something I made a while back...when I was a "single mama" waiting for our home in Washington to sell. Once I knew we had a serious buyer I decided to make them a sign for the front door. I had made one for myself and I love it dearly! I knew that the buyers liked my decor style (they shared that with me) so i had a basic idea of colors and design. I decoupaged scrap book paper on this frame, added some ribbon and "HOME SWEET HOME" words and hung it on the door for them. I hope they LOVE this view as much as I did! My babies played in this backyard, we grew food here, deer snuck in and ate that food, dogs visited here, we had baby showers and birthday parties back here. WE LIVED HERE!

When we decided to move it was a tough decision to leave this home. We brought a 6 year old here then followed by 2 newborn sisters. WE LIVED HERE! We hosted birthday clubs (there I said it..wink wink), New Years Eve sing-a-thons, sleepovers with giggling girls, and Wilson date night trades. We held Romeo's old man 30th b-day surprise party, I helped care for and love many friends children here, kissed my girls' booboo's, laughed at their silly antics, and cried over life's unfair twists here. WE LIVED HERE!

It was this home that held the warmth of a loving family and amazing friends...it was with those feelings that we were ok putting that large white sign in the front lawn. It didn't signify loss, hurt, or anger for the Rachi family. It represented change, family, hope, and trust it God! We felt like it was time to move on and allow another family to feel the love in that home. We trusted that God would provide for us as we were humbly leaning on Him for everything. HE DID! We knew HE would!

We are one of the LUCKY few families that were able to sell our home without incident in this market...for this we are grateful! TRUST!

Look what we made.....

Kaya, Bella, and I made these chocolate bar wrappers for our favorite teachers. Kaya didn't want to do this at first, in fact she acted VERY annoyed at first. But, once we got started she was enjoying herself. I have a back to school paper pad that we cut up and played with (thank's Grandma James) Bella got in on the fun and made the one on the bottom for her swim teacher since she isn't in school yet.

I wanna start off with a cute candid pic of the litte ladies! I LOVE them....I am not gonna pretend life is perfect here (it is SOOOO not). But there are a few times a day where I see one sister love on another and that makes my day! Months ago my friend April and I blocked our little munchkins in a playroom at her house so we could craft! It was so fun and long over due now...but i FINALLY finished one of the projects!
It took me a very long time to convince Kaya that a picture of their feet would be fun and cute. She was worried about her feet looking to BIG! The socks were her idea and i LOVE them in the black and white tones!
I just had the girls "stand" (not an easy task) against the wall and kept shooting. I LOVE this one you can see that Bella is cool with it, Kaya not so sure, and Sierra is sassy! I didn't tell them what to do, cause that wouldn't have worked with them anyway. God blessed us with 3 VERY independent ladies.


I have this hanging on the front door! I love how it turned out. Did i mention the frame was $1.00~ i love Michaels!!!!

Sewing letters for the playroom!

I have wanted letters on the walls for a LONG TIME in the playroom (dining room, but i didnt know whati really wanted. Then while i was blog stalking one day i saw some that were sewn with felt. I FELL IN LOVE!!! Being crafty like i am there was really no way i was going to buy them from the ETSY account (sorry) i wanted the satisfaction of making them! So with G-ma James (MIMI) on her way to visit it was PERFECT!!
We searched HIGH and low on-line for the perfect (free) letters and we found these. We cut them outand pinned them on 2 pieces of felt. Then we cut out each letter then sewed them together on the machine.
I opted to leave them each on their own and i hot glued a push pin on the back! The girls LOVE having the letters on the wall! I decided to do the lower case letters cause they look more playful to me....but Bella was a little confusd and asked me why there were 2 e's!

The a is different font than she is used to seeing. So we are learning about upper and lower case!

Fall Decor Box for troops in Iraq

Each month friends from our church and I have been sending things to my good friend Marya who is serving our country in Iraq (or close to that). I started out making boxes with shampoo and stuff like that for the 4 girls in her company. But if kinda morphed into theme boxes that are JUST FOR FUN! This past box had a fall theme and we got a bunch of kids together and we made fall leaf stained glass decorations with melted crayons and wax paper.
We also included in the box some other fall decorations like plastic flowers and gords. :)
We included apple cider powder drinks, peanuts and apple sauce. The kids had a great time making the leaves.


I got a message from Marya that they got the box and they really enjoyed it! Halloween box is next! hmmmm...what to make?

So I got creative this year!

You may be wondering why I am just now posting this...well these were the Chirstmas gifts that I gave to a few people. So I couldn't show it before!

I purchased the ornaments and painted them a solid color. Then I decopaushed (sp)paper and stickers on them. Once they were all dry i also added some "bling".

I just love making crafty stuff...it is in my blood!

My buddy Shanna and I are already brainstorming what we can make for gifts next year. We plan to get started soon!
P.S. I loved the family & dream one so much I kept them!!! (Is that bad?)

I am getting my crafty-self back!

I painted all of these things for the 2 younger girls' room. It looks like it is blue in the picture but it is a dark purple and a bright pink! Grandma (Mimi as Bella calls her) has made Bella a quilt and is in the process of making a crib quilt for Sierra. It has those same colors and butterflies! I am so excited for their room to be done. Now I just need to figure out when to move the baby in there with the Queen of light sleeping.
